What does the settlement provide?
Connexin agreed to set up a $4,000,000.00 Settlement Fund as part of the Settlement. This fund will be used to:
- Offer three years of enhanced identity theft and fraud monitoring and $1 million in insurance (called “Expanded Identity Theft and Fraud
- Monitoring Services” or “EITFMS”); or (3) pay up to $7,500.00 per class member for certain out-of-pocket losses (called “Reimbursement for
- Out-of-Pocket Losses”); or (3) give class members a pro rata cash fund payment (called “Alternative Cash Payment”).
The Settlement Fund will also be used to pay for the Fee Award and Costs, as well as the costs of managing the settlement and giving agreed-upon service awards to named claimants. Connexin has promised to improve the company’s data and information security by putting in place a number of security steps and business changes over the next four years.
When will you expect to get your settlement amount?
The exact date you will get your settlement payment hasn’t been decided yet, but if you send in a valid claim form before the deadline of July 25, 2024, you will get your money after the court’s final hearing on July 24, 2024, to decide if the settlement is accepted or not.
