Manu Bhaker To Be India's Flag-Bearer For Paris Olympics 2024 Closing Ceremony

Manu might have won three medals in Paris. She finished fourth in the women's 25m pistol shooting event in the final event, narrowly missing the unprecedented grand treble.

Two-time Olympic medalist and top shooter Manu Bhaker will be India's closing ceremony flag bearer at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) confirmed the news on Monday

"IOA President Dr. PT Usha and Chef de Mission Gagan Narang are pleased to announce that pistol shooter Manu Bhaker will be the closing ceremony flag bearer.

Bhaker excelled in Paris and won two Summer Games bronze medals. At the Paris Olympics, the 22-year-old shooter found atonement.

She had little time to shoot her quota. She finished 12th, missing the top-eight result needed to advance to the final round.

Bhaker is the first Indian athlete to win two medals at the Paris Olympics after independence. Norman Pritchard won silver in the 200m and 200m hurdles for India at the 1900 Olympics.
